Mike Felton Photo

Mike Felton is a retired Boston Police Sergeant with a proud family legacy of public service spanning four generations, dating back to 1894. With decades of experience serving his community, Mike carries a deep appreciation for the values of dedication and perseverance instilled by his lineage. He is a devoted husband and father to three grown children, whom he adores. Now retired, Mike channels his time and passion into storytelling, sharing the lessons and experiences shaped by his remarkable journey.

Mike spent his formative years in Roslindale, a neighborhood that provided much of the inspiration behind The King of Rozzi. Before joining the Boston Police Department, he began his career working at Walpole Prison, Massachusetts' maximum-security facility. As a corrections officer, he crossed paths with some of the most infamous mobsters in the state. While always maintaining strict professional boundaries, Mike treated every inmate with respect—an approach that gave him rare insight into the hardened criminals who once ruled Boston’s underworld.

Fulfilling his dream of following in his family’s footsteps, Mike became a Boston Police Officer and spent decades patrolling some of the city’s most dangerous neighborhoods. From Southie to Dorchester, he witnessed firsthand the city’s transformation over the years. He still recalls patrolling the streets of South Boston and crossing paths with some of Boston's most notorious gangsters.

For those interested in more of Mike’s personal stories, stay tuned for his upcoming blog, where he’ll share firsthand accounts of Boston’s past—tales from the streets, the force, and the city that shaped him.
